Software Engineer III

Job Summary:

  • The Software Engineer III primarily works with project teams on developing new software to support strategic initiatives in alignment with business and / or enterprise strategies. 
Essential Functions
  • Work with architects and other developers to implement software for strategic projects
  • Provide accurate level of effort estimates based on business requirements
  • Document development work with appropriate collateral as needed
  • Participate in technical design and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices are maintained
  • Perform as technical lead on smaller projects, and be a collaborative member on largerprojects
  • Use the development technology appropriate for the project at hand
Additional Functions:
  • Coach and mentor junior developers
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and delivery timeframes
  • Fosters innovative team culture and process improvement during development phase

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in designing, modifying, writing and implementing software programming applications; financial service industry experiencehelpful
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • REST/SOAP web services, JavaScript, and .NET. C# experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL and query optimization. SSIS experience is desired
  • Fluent with Visual Studio development and code management
  • Knowledge of Force.com and Apex is a plus
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and/or Oracle 12c
  • Familiar with software development best practices.
  • Experience with Fiserv DNA is a big plus
